How Hair Loss Restoration Can Be Just the Solution You Need
Are you suffering from hair loss? Have you tried every possible way to cure and prevent it to no avail? Hair loss restoration can be just the solution you need. There are several ways to restore your hair such as the hair loss transplant and the hair loss surgery. See how these hair restoration treatments can be your solution to hair loss.
Permanent Results
There are many hair treatments for hair loss. You can get over-the-counter hair loss treatment that can give you your desired results. However, these hair treatments you can get over-the-counter usually give you only temporary benefits. You enjoy the results as long as you continue the usage of the product. The moment you stop, you lose the benefits that you get from these hair over-the-counter hair treatment products.
Unlike the above, hair loss transplants allow you to enjoy permanent results. This means that when you undergo the hair transplant procedure to get your hair back, whatever hair you are able to restore stays on your head permanently. You can do away with all the hair treatment products that you have been spending for a long time. The hair loss restoration can get the hair back on your head to stay there permanently.
How It Works
You need to find a good hair expert or surgeon to perform the restoration procedure. As with any surgical procedure, you have to make sure you are ready for such risks. You also have to be able to devote sometime for your recovery.
Having said that, the restoration process involves transplanting your own hair from the area where it is has the thickest volume to the area where the hair is thinning or where you suffer the most hair loss. You can choose to undergo non-surgical hair transplant or the more permanent surgical hair restoration.
Hair loss restoration can give you back the natural hair you had. With this procedure, you no longer have to worry about high maintenance as you can get permanent results. As you get your full hair back, you’ll also feel better about yourself. Hair restoration is just the solution you need.

Le Monsieur De La Petite Dame $0.99 It was Madame who first entered the box, and Madame was bright with youthful bloom, bright with jewels, and, moreover, a beauty. She was a little creature, with childishly large eyes, a low, white forehead, reddish-brown hair, and Greek nose and mouth.”Clearly,” remarked the old lady in the box opposite, “not a Frenchwoman. Her youth is too girlish, and she has too petulant an air of indifference.”This old lady in the box opposite was that venerable and somewhat severe aristocrat, Madame de Castro, and having gazed for a moment or so a little disapprovingly at the new arrival, she turned her glasses to the young beauty’s companion and uttered an exclamation. |

‘Til Tuesday Members $8.5 Purchase includes free access to book updates online and a free trial membership in the publisher’s book club where you can select from more than a million books without charge. Not illustrated. Excerpt: Aimee Mann (born September 8, 1960) is an American rock guitarist, bassist, singer, and noted songwriter. Aimee Mann grew up in Bon Air, Virginia, graduated from Midlothian High School and attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, but dropped out to sing with her first punk rock band, the Young Snakes; the band released the EP Bark Along with the Young Snakes in 1982, and a compilation album was issued in 2004. In 1983, seeking a return to “sweetness and melody”, she co-founded with Berklee classmate and boyfriend Michael Hausman the new wave band ‘Til Tuesday, which achieved success in 1985 with its first album, Voices Carry. The title song is said to be inspired by Hausman and Mann’s breakup. The producer, Mike Thorne, in a March 1999 article disputes this and states the lyrics originally had Mann singing to another woman. The gender was changed due to pressure from the record company. The video became an MTV staple, winning the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist, although Mann’s then-signature spiky hair would lead some to dismiss the group. Mann was featured on the Rush song “Time Stand Still” (from Hold Your Fire, 1987) which became a minor UK hit, singing backup vocals and appearing in the music video. Her laughter is also heard at the start of “Force Ten,” from the same album. With Mann playing an increasingly important role in songwriting, ‘Til Tuesday released two more albums, Welcome Home and Everything’s Different Now. On their final tour, musician Jon Brion joined the band, which broke up in 1990 when Mann left to start her solo career. Around the time of the first album’s release, Mann began a romantic relationship with Jules Shear; they broke up before the final ‘Til Tuesday album, which contained … More: |

‘Tis Herself $4.9 In an acting career of more than seventy years, Hollywood legend Maureen O’Hara came to be known as “the queen of Technicolor” for her fiery red hair and piercing green eyes. She had a reputation as a fiercely independent thinker and champion of causes, particularly those of her beloved homeland, Ireland. In ‘Tis Herself, O’Hara recounts her extraordinary life and proves to be just as strong, sharp, and captivating as any character she played on-screen. O’Hara was brought to Hollywood as a teenager in 1939 by the great Charles Laughton, to whom she was under contract, to costar with him in the classic film The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She has appeared in many other classics, including How Green Was My Valley, Rio Grande, The Quiet Man, and Miracle on 34th Street. She recalls intimate memories of working with the actors and directors of Hollywood’s Golden Age, including Laughton, Alfred Hitchcock, Tyrone Power, James Stewart, Henry Fonda, and John Candy. With characteristic frankness, she describes her tense relationship with the mercurial director John Ford, with whom she made five films, and her close lifelong friendship with her frequent costar John Wayne. Successful in her career, O’Hara was less lucky in love until she met aviation pioneer Brigadier General Charles F. Blair, the great love of her life, who died in a mysterious plane crash ten years after their marriage. Candid and revealing, ‘Tis Herself is an autobiography as witty and spirited as its author. |

His journey out from Washington had been full of interest because the District Forester had accompanied him the greater part of the way, and had taken the opportunity to explain how varied were the conditions that he would find in the Sequoia forest to which he had been assigned. In large measure the District Forester’s especial interest, Wilbur realized, was due to the fact that Masseth had told him of the boy’s intention to go to college and thence through the Yale Forestry School, having had beforehand training as Guard, and possibly later as Ranger. But, as the train pulled out of the station, and Wilbur looked over the sage-brush and sparse grass, seeming to dance under the shimmeringheat-waves of the afternoon sun, he suddenly became conscious that the world seemed very large and that everything he knew was very far away. The strange sense of doubt as to whether he were really himself, a curious feeling that the desert often induces, swept over him, and he was only too ready to enter into conversation when a small, wiry man, with black hair and quick, alert eyes, came up to him with the rolling walk that betokens a life spent in the saddle, and said easily: ” Howdy, pard! ” The boy returned a friendly “Good-afternoon,” and waited for the stranger to continue. ” She looks some as if you was the whole pack on this deal,” was the next remark. ” Well,” replied Wilbur, looking at him quizzically, ” I wasn’t conscious of being crowded here.” The range-rider followed the boy’s gla… |

1,003 Great Things About Being a Woman $9.95 It’s great to be a woman . . . most of the time. Lisa Birnbach, Ann Hodgman, and Patty Marx have come up with 1,003 hilarious reasons why it’s great all of the time. Pantyhose, high heels, lipstick, maxi pads, chocolate-all things feminine are covered. These three witty and wise women have delivered yet another hysterical list of 1,003 great things. Each writer has a unique (and much appreciated) take on being a modern-day woman. After all, today’s females need to be tough, talented multitaskers with an amazing sense of humor-and that’s just to compete with the males in grade school! The trio empathizes humorously with women’s universal struggles and triumphs:” Hair talk is the international language. ” You and the children go first in the lifeboat. ” You can cry your way out of a speeding ticket. ” Oh, the joy of a shoe sale! ” The gender that brought you Girl Scout cookies. ” Women are tougher than men. Proof: bikini waxes. ” Women have a better instinctive sense of how to bag items in the supermarket. ” When we get that tone in our voice, you’d better listen up. ” Nothing wrong with us that a Frappuccino can’t fix. ” Without ever having been there first, we know our way around every Target, Wal- Mart, Kohl’s, and Kmart. You’ll laugh out loud at these outrageously funny stands on the sisterhood of femininity. 1003 Great Things About Being a Woman is the gift book every woman must own! |

1001 Steamy Nights- Ares Nymph $2.99 Nika believes the mysterious man who tends his garden with such love deserves to be made immortal. As long as he spends eternity with her.Ares, God of War, was just looking for a little down time. He found a delightful nymph to make his goddess instead. His eyes twinkled with amusement at her words. Again a twinge of doubt assaulted her. She had laced her voice with power, he should have acquiesced immediately. She could almost feel him forcing his body to relax. This shouldn’t be. What manner of man was he? Unfurling her wings, she allowed all the essence of her godhood to bathe the room in a soft, glowing light. No man could withstand the pure beauty of a nymph. “You dare to defy me, mortal? I should fly away and leave you wanting.” “But you won’t, will you, my lovely little nymph?” Nika hesitated, her light dimming slightly. Who was this man? Some by-blow of one of the minor gods? “Show me your true form, Nika.” “I am in my true form.” Frustration laced ever syllable. This should not be. “As you were before, little one. Before you served Gaia’s forests. Show me your true form, love.” Nika’s wings disappeared. Her eyes turned from the leaf green she had worn for so long to deep soulful brown. Green hair was replaced by ropes of braids falling to the small of her coffee colored back. She transformed before she could stop herself. She sat perched on his groin her true self; Nika of Kemet, naked and exposed for his eyes. “You’re glorious.” The whispered words were so full awe that Nika forgot the strangeness of the situation. “More dazzling than any goddess.” She shivered as Ares ran a single fingertip down the valley between her breasts. He sat up, holding her close. “Stay just as you are, Nika the Magnificent.” |

101 Diet Recipes $1.99 101 Diet Recipes (Healthy Vegetarian Recipes For Permanent Weight Loss)by Nita MehtaDiet Recipes are specially created keeping the calories as well as the nutritional aspect of each recipe in mind. For weight loss, a 1200-1400 Calorie Diet is an ideal choice. It is a good idea to divide the intake of food into 5 meals than to have 3 big meals. So, munching on a mid-morning snack like a fruit (apple/pear/guava etc.) makes a lot of sense. It keeps hunger pangs away, thus helping you to have a controlled portion of food at lunch time. In the same way, eating a snack in the evening like a home-made paneer sandwich or a piece of dhokla or sprout chaat or roasted channas, is also very beneficial for weight loss. The main 3 meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner should be well balanced with the right amount of proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Out of the total calories, 45% of the calories should be from carbohydrates, 35% from proteins and 20% from fats. The breakfast should be of about 300-350 calories and this can comfortably include 2 light sandwiches or a small serving of upma or seviyaan (any one) with a glass of milk or lassi. The lunch can be of 2 chappatis, a small serving of yogurt and a good amount of vegetable. This would come upto 400 calories. Dinner can be lighter. Have an early dinner and avoid too much carbohydrates at this meal. If you like, eat two rotis for lunch but make it one for dinner. One chappati with a small katori of thin dal, a light salad and a vegetable would make upto 400 calories. Eating these foods will help you keep fit and slim with a glowing skin and healthy hair. I truly believe, “You are what you eat”.For an author bio and photo, reviews and a reading sample, visit http://www.nitamehta.com or mail to us at: & For addition information on publishing your books on iBook,iPhone And iPad please visit www.AppsPublisher.com |

121 Oak Street $2.99 A mystery has been discovered at 121 Oak Street. This secret has been harbored for more than eighty years, and its exposure is about to have a profound effect upon the entire community. The story begins under an old oak tree in a normal setting much like any you would see. An elderly gentleman with snow white hair, wearing a flannel shirt and khaki pants, sits in a rocker as he transforms his front porch into a theatre. As they beg for more, the wise old man says, “If you want to hear more, you’ll have to come back next Saturday at one o’clock. If I am able, I will be right here in my rocker.” The crowds grow and grow. Now not only are the children fascinated and wanting more, the parents eagerly anticipate the end of the story. Excerpt: The Christian movement known as the Penitents goes back to the 4 century. Those who had committed serious sins confessed their sins to the bishop or his representative and were assigned a penance that was to be carried out over a period of time. After completing their penance, they were reconciled by the bishop with a prayer of absolution offered in the midst of the community. Penance assumed many forms, such as pilgrimages to holy sites; constructing, repairing and rebuilding churches; and caring for the poor and sick. During the time they worked out their penances, the penitents often had special places in church and wore special garments to indicate their status. Like the catechumens who were preparing for baptism, they were often dismissed from the Sunday assembly after the Liturgy of the Word. The use of ashes at the beginning of Lent is an extension of the use of ashes with those entering the Order of Penitents. Penance, in the Judeo-Christian sense can be traced to the time just after the Jewish exile in Babylon (Sirach 5:1-8; 34: 21-31). The repentance and conversion preached by John the Baptist was of this type. In the first centuries of the Christian Church, groups of penitents were established by the Church for those Christians who fell into grave sin and sought reconciliation with the Church. These sins included such things as adultery, murder, idolatry and magic, and theft. Doing penance was a visible sign of conversion. If the sinner refused to do penance, he or she was excommunicated. Public penance consisted of acts of mortification such as wearing a “hair shirt,” covering the head with ashes, fasting and prayers. These acts were regulated by the bishops. After the period of penance was completed, the repentant sinner was rea… More: |

1610s Paintings $14.14 Purchase includes free access to book updates online and a free trial membership in the publisher’s book club where you can select from more than a million books without charge. Excerpt: The Descent from the Cross is the central panel of a triptych painting by Peter Paul Rubens in 1612-1614. The painting is the second of Rubens’s great altarpieces for the Cathedral of Our Lady, Antwerp, Belgium, along with The Elevation of the Cross. The subject was one Rubens returned to again and again in his career. This particular work was commissioned on September 7, 1611, by the Confraternity of the Arquebusiers, whose Patron Saint was St. Christopher. View of the whole triptych.Although essentially Baroque, the oil on panel piece is rooted in the Venetian tradition, and likely influenced by the work of Daniele da Volterra, Federico Barocci and Cigoli, amongst others. In its composition and use of light, the triptych recalls Caravaggio’s Roman period. Sequentially, the triptych describes the Visitation, the Descent from the Cross, and the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple. Theophile Silvestre wrote, in his “On Rubens’ Descent from the Cross – 1868″: The principal subject is composed of nine figures: at the top of two ladders, workers are lowering the body of Christ with the aid of a shroud which one of them holds in his teeth, the other in the left hand. Bracing themselves firmly against the arms of the cross, each bends forward to guide the Christ with the hand that is left free while St. John, with one foot on the ladder and his back arched, supports him most energetically. One of Saviors feet comes to rest on the beautiful shoulder of the Magdalene, grazing her golden hair. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, placed midway on ladders so as to face each other, form, together with the two workmen in the upper part of the picture, a square of vigorous but plebeian figures. The Virgin, standing at the foot of the sacrificial tree, exte… More: |

Excerpt: Saint George and the Dragon is a painting by Peter Paul Rubens (c. 1620), based upon the motif with the same name . It is housed in the Museo del Prado of Madrid .It was painted in Genoa (Saint George is the patron of this city) while Rubens was to Italy to complete his artistic training. The princess’ presence on the left is included to represent the Church. Note See also (online edition) A hyperlinked version of this chapter is at The Waterseller of Seville epitomizes all that Velázquez set out to achieve in the genre paintings . It is widely said to be the greatest of all his Seville paintings. The subject of the painting is the waterseller. This was a common trade for the lower classes in Velázquez’s Seville. The jars and the topic of victuals recall the paintings called bodegón . The seller has two customers: a young boy, possibly painted from the same model as used for the boys in The Lunch and Old Woman Cooking Eggs , and a young man in the background shadows, (time has caused him to fade somewhat – he is clearer in the Uffizi version). In the foreground sit the seller’s gigantic pots of water, glistening with streams of running water. So large and rounded, they almost protrude out of the painting into the observer’s space. The seller hands a freshly poured glass of water to the boy. In it sits a fig, a perfumer intended to make the water taste fresher – something still done in Seville today. The still, calm scene – a typical quality of his genre scenes and, indeed, much of Velázquez’s work – is remarkable for the depiction of the seller. His pensive face, battered by its direct exposure to sunlight, deeply scarred with the wrinkles of age, speaks of long years of experience. His short shaved hair and old plain clothes give him the appearance |

1700-1750 In Fashion $67.99 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Fashion in the period 1700-1750 in European and European-influenced countries is characterized by a widening, silhouette for both men and women following the tall, narrow look of the 1680s and 90s. Wigs remained essential for men of substance, and were often white; natural hair was powdered to achieve the fashionable look. Distinction was made in this period between full dress worn at Court and for formal occasions, and undress or everyday, daytime clothes. As the decades progressed, fewer and fewer occasions called for full dress which had all but disappeared by the end of the century. In the early decades of the new century, formal dress consisted of the stiff-bodiced mantua. A closed (or “round”) petticoat, sometimes worn with an apron, replaced the open draped mantua skirt of the previous period. This formal style then gave way to more relaxed fashions. |

Excerpt: F. De Samara to A. G. A. is a poem by British author and poet Emily Jane Brontë, written on November 1, 1838. The poem below has been reproduced from a copy used in the ‘Penguin Classics Collection’. Light up thy halls! Tis closing day;Im drear and lone and far away Cold blows on my breast, the north winds bitter sighAnd oh, my couch is bleak beneath the rainy sky!Light up thy halls and think not of me;That face is absent now, thou hast hated me so to see Bright be thine eyes, undimmed their dazzling shine,For never, never more shall they encounter mine! The desert moor is dark; there is tempest in the air;I have breathed my only wish in one last, one burning prayer A prayer that would come forth although it lingered long; That set on fire my heart, but froze upon my tongue And now, it shall be done before the morning rise;I will not watch the sun ascend in yonder skies. One task alone remains thy pictured face to viewAnd then I go to prove if God, at least, be true!Do I not see thee now? Thy black resplendent hair;Thy glory-beaming brow, and smile how heavenly fair!Thine eyes are turned away those eyes I would not see,Their dark, their deadly ray would more than madden meThere, go, Deceiver, go! My hand is streaming wet,My hearts blood flows to buy the blessing To forget!Oh could that lost heart give back, back again to thineOne tenth part of the pain that clouds my dark decline!Oh could I see thy lids weighed down in cheerless woe;Too full to hide their tears, too stern to overflow;Oh could I know thy soul with equal grief was tornThis fate might be endured this anguish might be borne! How gloomy grows the Night! Tis Gondals wind thatblowsI shall not tread again the deep glens where it rose I feel it on my face Where, wild blast, dost thou ro… More: |

Excerpt: The 1851 United States Senate election in New York was held on February 4 and March 18/19, 1851, by the New York State Legislature to elect a U.S. Senator (Class 1) to represent the State of New York in the United States Senate. Daniel S. Dickinson had been elected in 1845 to this seat, and his term would expire on March 3, 1851. At this time the Whig Party in New York was split in two opposing factions: the Seward/Weed faction (the majority, opposed to the Compromise of 1850) and the “Silver Grays” (supporters of President Millard Fillmore and his compromise legislation, led by Francis Granger whose silver gray hair originated the faction’s nickname). The opposing factions of the Democratic Party in New York, the “Barnburners” and the “Hunkers”, had reunited at the State election in November 1850, and managed to have almost their whole State ticket elected, only Horatio Seymour was defeated for Governor by a plurality of 262 votes. At the State election in November 1849, 14 Seward Whigs, 3 Silver Gray Whigs and 15 Democrats were elected for a two-year term (1850-1851) in the State Senate. At the State election in November 1850, a Whig majority was elected to the Assembly for the session of 1851. The 74th State Legislature met from January 7 to April 17, and from June 10 to July 11, 1851, at Albany, New York. Ex-Governor of New York Hamilton Fish was the candidate of the Whig Party. 186: 186 Births, Huang Yueying, List of State Leaders in 186, Ma Liang, Liu Ba, 186 Ad $14.14 Purchase includes free access to book updates online and a free trial membership in the publisher’s book club where you can select from more than a million books without charge. Not illustrated. Excerpt: Huang Yueying (? – ?) is the fictional name for the wife of the Shu strategist Zhuge Liang, and daughter of Huang Chengyan. Her true name is unknown, as no name for Zhuge Liang’s wife survives in history. According to the Record of Three Kingdoms, her father approached Zhuge Liang when he wanted to marry. He said, “I have an ugly daughter yet I heard you were looking for a wife. She is marred with red hair and dark skin, but I think her wit is well matched with yours.” Zhuge Liang agreed to see her and married her. Shortly after their meeting, her father made the light-hearted proverb, “Do not berate Zhuge Liang’s wife or you’ll make Chengyan’s ugly daughter get you.” The message of the statement is to “strive to wed a homely woman” regardless of their looks. A popular story depicts that Yueying challenged her suitors to personally visit her by claiming that she was ugly. In the possibility that a suitor would visit, she would hide herself under viels as a quiet dare to test their resolve. When Zhuge Liang came to her, her figure was silouetted by the yellow full moon and her head was covered with two red veils. Unlike other men, he entered alone and didn’t hesitate to remove her disguises. As he removed the first cloth from her face, he calmly stated that her ugliness was a misunderstanding by her father. He was rewarded by Yueying’s joyful visage and gratification. Another popular interpretation is that while she was beautiful, it was other women in her village whom spread this rumor due to their jealousy. She and Zhuge Liang had one son, Zhuge Zhan, and two grandsons, Zhuge Shang and Zhuge Jing. They adopted a son from Zhuge Liang’s brother, Zhuge Jin of Wu. His name was Zhuge Qiao, and Zhuge Qiao had a son, Zhuge Pan, but… More: |

1914 And Other Poems $14.98 Purchase of this book includes free trial access to www.million-books.com where you can read more than a million books for free.Excerpt from book:Heaven Fish (fly-replete, in depth of June, Dawdling away their wat’ry noon) Ponder deep wisdom, dark or clear, Each secret fishy hope or fear. Fish say, they have their Stream and Pond ; But is there anything Beyond ? This life cannot be All, they swear, For how unpleasant, if it were ! One may not doubt that, somehow, Good Shall come of Water and of Mud ; And, sure, the reverent eye must see A Purpose in Liquidity. We darkly know, by Faith we cry, The future is not Wholly Dry. Mud unto mud !—Death eddies near— Not here the appointed End, not here ! But somewhere, beyond Space and Time, Is wetter water, slimier slime ! And there (they trust) there swimmeth One Who swam ere rivers were begun, Immense, of fishy form and mind, Squamous, omnipotent, and kind ; And under that Almighty Fin, The littlest fish may enter in. Oh ! never fly conceals a hook, Fish say, in the Eternal Brook, But more than mundane weeds are there, And mud, celestially fair ; Fat caterpillars drift around, And Paradisal grubs are found ; Unfading moths, immortal flies, And the worm that never dies. And in that Heaven of all their wish, There shall be no more land, say fish. DOUBTS When she sleeps, her soul, I know, Goes a wanderer on the air, Wings where I may never go, Leaves her lying, still and fair, Waiting, empty, laid aside, Like a dress upon a chair. . . . This I know, and yet I know Doubts that will not be denied. For if the soul be not in place, What has laid trouble in her face ? And, sits there nothing ware and wise Behind the curtains of her eyes, What is it, in the self’s eclipse, Shadows, soft and passingly, About the corners of her lips, The smile that is essential she ? And if the spirit be not there, Why is fragrance in the hair … |

1947 $9.99 India gained independence from the British Raj in 1947 but the country had to be divided into India and Pakistan, a divide which resulted in unspeakable violence with the death of close to two million people. The author of this book, M. Zahir, was then ten-year- old. His father was a doctor in a small town in Punjab which was the epicenter of the religious violence. Caught on the wrong side of the dividing line between India and Pakistan, Zahir’s family tried to leave by train for Pakistan. The train was ambushed and almost all the Muslims were killed on the spot. Miraculously, a young Zahir, a Rhodes Scholar and now a retired doctor living in Canada, remembers the hair-raising events which happened over sixty years ago. This is not a work of fiction but an absolutely true story of man’s inhumanity to man on a scale “which will harrow thy soul and freeze thy blood.” |

1st Down $1.75 When Travis is chosen as a first round draft pick to be a quarterback for the National Football League, he is thrilled, but as a gay man entering what is definitely considered a “manly man’s sport”, he is also very nervous. Travis has kept his secret for many years, but his attraction to a man his rookie year is stronger than any attraction that he has ever had in the past. With the team well on its way to the playoffs, the attraction grows ever stronger, and Travis wonders how much longer he can keep his secret a secret.Excerpt:Travis was good at “playing it straight.” After all, he had had years of practice living this way and he had developed well the art of keeping his erotic thoughts of men to himself. Travis was never without the company of girls at practice or shouts from admiring women fans, who would flock around the young quarterback because he was just so cute. Travis would smile, but for the most part he ignored them. ******Once the shirt came off of Travis’ back, he was nothing but pure toned muscle from his shoulders down to his alluring bony hip curve that led to his washboard abdominals, lined by a trail of hair from his navel down to his crotch region. Travis kept his dark brown hair short and neatly groomed, and with a pair of icy blue eyes that one was sure to remember forever, he was the perfect male for the NFL, particularly one of the so-called “franchise men”, those who could be seen regularly in television commercials, wooed by the many sponsors to showcase their brand during one or more of the prime spots of the NFL games. ******Travis began to hyperventilate as breaths began escaping and re-entering his mouth, quickly warming up the hand that covered his lips as he felt a moist body press against his back. His erection still remained though, standing high and hard. After a few moments, he began to feel a round, velvety something brushing |

These highly detailed drawings allow the reader to see how the styles of the great twentieth-century designers and jewelry houses—among them Lalique, Cartier, Chaumet, Chanel, Jensen, Verdura, Schlumberger, Haskell, Harry Winston, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Tiffany & Co.—have filtered down to mass-produced and costume jewelry. Every style is represented: Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts pieces of the early twentieth century; Art Deco of the twenties and thirties; cocktail jewelry of the forties and fifties; Pop Art creations of the sixties and seventies; flashy, ostentatious jewelry of the eighties; and more delicate, retro jewelry of the nineties. The invaluable reference section includes biographies of the century’s leading international jewelers and a concise bibliography. Over 1500 color illustrations.Author Biography: John Peacock was for many years a |

66 Laps $3.69 I slipped off my clothes and dove into the pool. We are 96 percent liquid. There is nothing more sensuous than a good splash against naked skin: the initial rush of cold, the smooth acquiescence of inner fluid to the outer mantle of wet.Thirty-two-year-old Audrey Hastings swims a mile each day in her backyard pool: sixty-six laps. These meticulously counted crossings are the balm for her frustrations as a new mother, and her hedge against the insecurity she feels upon discovering her first gray hair. But the smooth waters through which she so assiduously glides grow cloudy when it becomes crystal clear that her good-looking, easy-going husband has begun an affair with a comely co-worker named Kim—who resembles Audrey, ten years younger. Audrey rages and stews and swims while contemplating this threat to her very existence. A fan-tasy of revenge—taking a younger lover of her own—becomes real when Audrey catches the eye of a sexy grad student at the park where she takes her two-year-old, Gina, to play. Audrey hesitates, resists, succumbs. And Au-drey learns that the consequences of jealousy, suspicion, and adultery can be more disastrous than she ever imagined. Precise, intelligent, and intense, 66 Laps is an altogether irresistible novel written with scalpel-like precision. |
